I think we could use 1-3 more players to get a well-rounded group. I'll keep looking!
Do you mean well-rounded in terms of a good assortment of characters will a well-rounded set of skills? Or, do you mean in terms of an amount of players that make the game worthwhile?

If it's just the former, then I'd be happy to create a second character if you don't think that would skew the game in any way.

In the meanwhile, I'll pimp the game over at the D6Holocron Facebook page.

I usually like to have at least four players for the hell of it. I always enjoy having all the personalities.  ;D

We can get along perfectly fine with three people if need be.

Well, I pimped it on Facebook, and I now see 5 guests on the forum. It must be having an effect.

Thanks for putting it out there.

I have a feeling that a few of those are spiders like Google. Some of the IP addresses are very similar.

Me again.  I've been digging up info on the game system trying to put together a character but I am a bit lost in a sea of information.  Is there a d6 for dummies floating out there possibly with Star Wars gaming for simpletons?

Yo, hazy!

What type of character are you interested in playing?

I thought the Cantina thread idea a very good one. My only problem was that it didnt go very long before the GM started us off in game threads.

I would not mind seeing that here...especially if we are going to wait for a given time to see if we get more players. It will give us a chance to start working our character personalities on each other, perhaps giving clues or outright explanations about why we are as we are. If Endless is gonna wait for a time, perhaps he might post an end date where he plans to start up the IC thread. That way we know when to expect to shift over there.

Also, instead of a Cantina thread, this one could be a Ship's Lounge thread. Take it back six months or so to when we all get hired on, and let us interact with one another. Heck, we could conceivably keep that thread going for a while into game play, just to see where it goes. Thats up to Endless of course, but it might be enjoyable...

I think this is a phenomenal idea. Since Gen is the captain, how would he have solicited for a crew? Where might this have happened? It can probably just be anywhere that he would like to have it start out, since we're starting 6 months later. If he's more of a smuggler it might be in some wretched hive of scum and villainy somewhere, but if he's a more above-board trader, it would be on some more stable planet where he would have found a used-ship dealer who could take his loaned credits to buy a medium freighter.

By the way, I found an awesome page that depicts the interior and exterior layouts of a Loronar Medium Transport, such as the Smoking Blaster. I think it's pretty good, but it's up to Endless to decide if this is the interpretation of the ship that he wants it to be or has in his mind.

By the way, are we going to see your character sheet soon?

In my web-assisted Pbem, I've used a lot of visual imagery including maps, which I manipulate using GIMP. These interior shots of the Loronar Medium Transport would be really easy to download and manipulate to do the same with. It would be easy to then upload the images to a server and then display them in the posts here.

I've not noticed a lot of imagery on the Rancor. Is that just not something that is used a lot?

I imagine Gen worked as a cargo hauler for SoroSuub Corporation for several years on Sullust, until, under the grip of the Empire, he lost his dental insurance and all his SoroSuub stock options. So he quit, figuring he could make it as a trader on his own.

He tried doing it legit for a time, but couldn't quite make it work; he could barely haul 10 tons of cargo in his parents' old star cruiser. It just wasn't efficient. So he turned to smuggling. It was going great for a while until he crossed paths with some Trandoshan pirates, during a spice run, who ended up totaling his ship. So Gen took out a loan from Yosger (he seemed like a nice enough guy at the time) and bought the Smoking Blaster from a desperate Snivvian on Ord Mantell.

With such a large ship, Gen needed a crew. And everyone knows the best place to find a crew is in a wretched hive of scum and villainy, on...where were we again? Ord Mantell.

Ord Mantell is an excellent place to start off such shady business.

I imagine Louw's just been fired (probably replaced by a astromech droid programmed with a disgustingly sunny disposition) from whatever cargo hauler he's been on most recently.

If Gen is looking for people, he could probably find Louw at the Lady Fate Casino in the city of Worlport. He'll be there losing his earnings at the gambling table, or sleeping off a stupor at a nearby hostel.

So do you guys want to start a thread where you all meet?

I agree that the "Ships Lounge" thread is a great idea.
